Graduation Dresses

Graduation season is rapidly approaching and with that comes parties and tons of dresses. A lot of girls go with white dresses for graduation like I did in high school. My gown was white for high school and it looked much better with a white dress or a light pastel color underneath. But when I got to college the gowns are black so it doesn't matter what color dress is underneath because you can't see through the gown. For my associate's degree graduation, I wore the Lilly Shown in the photo above and I loved it because it had pockets it in which was the best idea I ever had. You don't want your phone in your hand or an awkward bag under your gown when walking across the stage so I found that pockets are super convenient. But in the end, whichever dress you choose doesn't really matter all that does matter is that YOU DID IT!!

Another trip to Manchester VT

This was a super quick trip to Vermont, we only went for Monday night but we made do with the most of the little time we had. We left early Monday morning and actually surprised my little sister with the trip which was super fun because we brought her best friend with us too. we spent the entire day shopping and had lunch at out favorite spot which is located in the bookstore. Then we went back to the hotel and had dinner at the copper grouse that is in the hotel. It was so delicious and we got the best caramel brownie to all share. After dinner, all four of us went and got the cutest gingham blankets from the front desk and went outside to sit around the fire. My mom and I really wanted to head over to the Equinox hotel and go to the falcon bar which has wine and chocolate platters. But they don't open until today! So each of us brought a box of chocolate without the others knowing because we weren't both so disappointed it wasn't open yet. We had so much fun drinking wine by the fire and eating our chocolates, but it did get super cold after awhile so we decided to end the night there.

On Tuesday we slept in a little bit and then got up and got ready to go to brunch. We ate at the cutest restaurant called up for breakfast and it was delicious. Mom and I got the most amazing butterscotch coffee it was delicious. After brunch, we went and walked around the bookstore where I got the most darling baby gift for a friend and mom got some perfect gifts for mothers day for her mom. We then ran to a couple more store and headed home. On our way home we stopped at the most darling coffee stand and got coffee with maple syrup in it and it was amazing!

Overall we had such a good time and it was definitely some much needed retail therapy and I can not wait until the next time we go. Our hotel was as gorgeous as ever I added some more photos from the hotel but you can see our hotel room in my post here from November.

We also had a mini photo shoot on Monday night before dinner:

Romper outfit

Outfit: Romper: Gap | Shoes: Similar | Sunglasses: Target | Necklace: Dogeared

I am currently sitting out on my back deck writing this in the beautiful weather we are having. I feel like everyone's attitudes get so much better once the sun starts shining, I know mine does. With the beautiful weather comes cute summer outfits like this romper I am wearing. I love rompers and this is the most perfect transition into spring romper because of the long sleeves. I love rompers because I think they are such easy and cute outfits to wear. They can be so easily dressed up and so easily dressed down.

Ps... I know I am so pale I'm working on it LOL.

Friday Fives

13 reasons why | this is the new Netflix original series, and it is groundbreaking. This show talks about things that need to be revealed and that need to be talked about more. I feel as though this is such a unique show that shows that the small words you say and the small actions that you do can have a serious impact on someone else's life. You have to watch this, it is so unlike anything else there is out there and it is a super important show.

The crib that ford made | I think this crib is the coolest and smartest concept ever. This crib would have done wonders for my poor mother and father who would have to walk me up and down the hall for an endless amount of time before I would finally fall asleep.

This photo of Anne Hathaway and Heather Matarazzo | better known as Mia Thermopolis and Lilly Moscovitz. The princess diaries was my favorite movie of all time. It would seriously make me so happy if these two are real life friends.

Draper James and Jack Rogers sandals: These sandals are at the top of my summer wishlist. The color and the gingham design are so darling. I feel like these are going to sell out so fast but I have to get a pair!

April the Giraffe finally had her baby. If you didn't already hear April the giraffe at the animal adventure park finally had a baby boy on Saturday. It was so cool to watch the two giraffes interact and to watch the dad watch the two of them it was so sweet. My mom was so excited she couldn't step away from her iPad all day. You can also donate money and vote on what the babies name will be!

Grey Lace-up Sweater

Sweater: Gap (similar) | Jeans: Old Navy | Flats: Gap (similar) | Sunglasses: Kate Spade | purse: Kate spade

This outfit is from my recent trip to Manchester Vermont this past weekend. It was gorgeous and so fun as always. We stayed at the Taconic again, you can see my post all on the hotel here from my trip in November. There will be a post soon about this trip up soon.

I picked up this super cute sweater that is so light and would go so well in the spring and early summer months, with a pair of white shorts. Although it is light it is so cozy and comfortable. I just got these white jeans from old navy and I am in love, they are the perfect white jean, which can be hard to find.

Favorite Sunglasses

These are just a few of my favorite sunglasses that I am loving this year. All of these sunglasses are under $100 and range from very low cost to more costly. Nordstrom and Tj Maxx have a wide variety of different styles and different prices.
1. Bonington cat eye | 2. Lucky Brand D933 | 3. Varsity cat eye | 4. Le specs no smirking | 5. Tyler square | 6. Quay Vivienne | 7. Sonix Ibiza | 8. DIFF rose | 9. Retro cat eye

I can't tell you how many times I have stood in front of a mirror trying on tons of sunglasses that don't look good with the shape of my face. Charming Charlies has this amazing feature where you can see which style sunglass looks best for your face shape. You can also match frames to your skin tone and choose a tint that best suits you. It asks questions such as what color are your forearm veins and what happens to your skin in the sun. And even better they are 2 for $15 which is such a good deal. This is the best website to find the perfect sunglasses custom to you. When I put in all of my information I was an oval shape with cool skin tone and a green tint which heightens contrast and reduces eyestrain.

Nordstrom is a great place to find good quality sunglasses if you're willing to spend a little more money. Which I think it is a good investment because they are so important. I like to keep my more expensive ones in my care because there is a less chance there will be damage done to them if I keep them in there.

Current Obsession: Succulents

I don't know what took me so long to get into succulents but now that I have I am obsessed. Kait and I spent more time deciding which ones we wanted than we would both like to admit. We went to three different stores and finally found so many cute ones. We ended up kneeling on the ground trying to decide which ones to choose. It was a really hard decision. We then bought and an entire bag of cactus potting soil, and then went to a different store and bought the cutest glass containers to plant them in.

For those of you who don't know what a succulent is, it is a low maintenance plant which stores water so they do not need to be watered often. They come in so many different shapes and can be a pink or orange color but they are mostly green. They make for perfect home decor.

Another thing which is similar to succulents is fairy gardens, they are so cute and I want one so bad. Just a small one but I really want one. There are so many examples on Pinterest like this one and this one. They just scream spring to me and I will be getting one soon mark my words. lol.

Off the Shoulder With lalexandradesigns

It is finally starting to feel like spring around here and I could not be happier about it. This week I've been preparing for Easter and embracing this beautiful weather. It got up to 80 degrees here today, but it was kind of a tease because it's going to drop tomorrow. But we will embrace it for as long as we can. This outfit would be such a cute more casual easter outfit or just out for brunch with the girls.

Top: Express | Jeans: similar and similar | Bag: Kate Spade | Shoes: Similar | Necklace: Dogeared | Bracelets: Turquoise bar bracelet and mint wrap bracelet
I am loving this top, I actually bought this to wear to the Garth Brooks concert (which was amazing by the way) I love the design along the bottom of the sleeves, it really adds a unique look to the shirt. I originally wore a choker with this to give it more of a grunge look for the concert and it was so cute. I was freezing on the walk that night but it was so worth it.

I am really into dainty jewelry, such as my very petite pearl necklace and right now I am loving these bracelets from LAlexandraDesigns. I am wearing the turquoise bar bracelet and the mint wrap bracelet and I am obsessed with them. I love the turquoise color with the gold it is so cute and classic. The Etsy shop LAlexandradesigns has so many cute jewelry pieces and home decor I am so in love with all of it. These turquoise bracelets will go with so many outfits and are just perfect for the spring and summer seasons.

Easter Dress

Easter may be my favorite holiday after Christmas of course, I love all the pastel colors and the chocolate bunnies. I cannot believe that Easter is this weekend! My family and I are going out to brunch and then will head up to my grandparent's house for an easter dinner. I love holiday traditions and one that I really love is dressing up in pastel color dresses and eating good food.
I found this dress at Francesca's and I fell in love, I always get a little nervous going into Francesca's because their clothing runs kinda big and can have an awkward fit on my body type. But I can find pieces like this dress that are amazing. How cute is this dress? I just love the tassels along the bottom and the detail design of this dress.

These earrings are another amazing find from Francesca's, I love these statement earrings they remind me of ones that would come from bauble bar and they are so cute. I really want to get back into statement earrings they really dress up an outfit.

Before I bought this dress I was searching online for the perfect Easter dress and found some really cute ones from Nordstrom and Asos. Really anything bright and has a spring essences about it is perfect for Easter to me. I can't wait to drink mimosas at brunch and have good quality family time.
