Amazon Fashion... My Thoughts

Okay so maybe this is something that everybody already knows about but I just realized how amazing this actually is. I love Amazon and buy so many things from that website already, I have been a prime member for a while now and relied heavily on Amazon when I was in college. But this past week I was looking for a black and white striped t-shirt dress, one that wasn't too expensive but still fit well. So I was all out of luck at my usual spots so I decided to check out Amazon, well I am so glad I did because it was life-changing.

I bought this dress on Amazon for only 14$ and free shipping because it was an amazon prime item. What I didn't realize was that Amazon offered their prime deals through different companies. So this dress that I bought is through Shein. I have shopped a few items from shein but always found that their shipping looks longer than I would like so I stopped purchasing from there. But now that I found them on Amazon I will be a frequent shopper.

Amazon has a section called Amazon fashion where you can search many different categories from dresses to shoes and jewelry. all of these items are broken down and then you can search through items such as bathing suits from all different companies. I love this because you get such a wide variety of pieces and you aren't just looking at one store.

Amazon also has a feature called Prime Wardrobe which allows you to have clothing items sent to your home for you to try on. Then if you don't like those items you can send them back to Amazon with the shipping labels that were sent to you. I love this idea because being so short can make it hard to shop online and send the stuff back makes it hassle but not with Prime Wardrobe.

Five Favorites

Happy Wednesday! I took a quick break from posting on Monday, the weekend was so busy it got the best of me and I just couldn't pull it together. But I am back and sharing some of my favorite items of the summer.

This S'well bottle was a birthday gift from my best friend and I am so grateful! This has been a lifesaver at work this summer. I fill it up with some ice and water at around 7 o'clock in the morning and the ice still hasn't melted by 3 o'clock. I love my water ice ice cold and it is so refreshing all day long.

This may be my favorite bathing suit of the summer! I love gingham and one piece's so it is a win-win for me. I love the cutouts on the sides and the criss-cross on the back, these little details really add to the cuteness of this suit. Another bonus of this bathing suit is that it is on major sale right now, 50% off!

Pool Tube (Similar)
There isn't much during the summer that I love more than lounging around in the pool, but with that, you need a nice pool float to do so. My family and I love to get our pool floats from 5 below because they are so cheap. This way we won't worry about people popping them, because we can just go buy a new one.

I have recently become a big fan of St. Tropez tanning products and I have been wanting to try the 1-hour tan product that they have. One thing I do a lot is to buy travel sized products to test out the products and to see if I would want to purchase the full-sized item. This travel kit was 25$ and comes with all three items shown above. St.Tropez sells a travel size of the original tanning product which is 15$ so the travel kit is a good deal.

I did not realize how much I would actually love these sunglasses until I received them. The quality of Ray-Ban sunglasses is like nothing I have ever had in a pair of sunglasses. I wear the size 55mm which is a perfect fit.

Weekly Review | Weekend Happenings

Sliding into the weekend like...
Weekly Review: This past week was the first full week of my summer job and it flew by, I can not believe it is over. In other news, this giant water slide showed up at my house yesterday and we spent all night on it, it does not get old. I literally felt like a little kid which was the best stress reliever also.

I also posted this week about an amazing summer read and did a book review on this must-read book. Then Yesterday I posted about MDComplete which is a great skincare line that I highly recommend.

Weekend Review: This weekend we are having a sweet sixteen party for my little sister which is why we have this giant waterslide for the weekend. We have like 45 teenagers coming to our house this weekend which will be great (*sarcastic emoji*). Then on Sunday, I am so excited because I am going to the Jason Alden concert which in my opinion will be the best way to end the weekend.

Favorite Things on the Internet:

  • Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Okay so I was not going to mention the Nordstrom anniversary sale because to be honest I'm not sure I am going to buy anything and I just don't feel like talking about it, but it is something that people are really into. I have not decided if I am going to do a post quite yet.
  • Build-A-Bear chaos: I think this is the best, the "Today Show" talks about how the deal that Build-A-Bear offered totally blew out of hand. Our local mall had to temporarily close down today because the line was so long. I'm not sure I would ever stand in a line that long for a bear, but then again I'm not a mom yet so we will see in the future.
  • Poshmark: I have been obsessed with this app lately. I just recently bought a Lilly Pulitzer dress and I am planning on doing a post and talking about my experiences with Poshmark so look for that on the blog soon!

Summer Skin Care with MD Complete!

If you are a long time reader of my blog then you know that acne is something that I have struggled with for awhile and there are many products that I can't use because my skin is so sensitive. With that being said I have found this line by MD Complete by Dr. Brian Zelickson which is a three-step treatment to help with acne. MD Complete values an overall beautiful and healthy complexion to be left behind after using their products.

After using these products I noticed an immediate difference in my skin. As I said before my skin is very sensitive to certain products and benzoyl peroxide being one. Step two of this process is an acne breakout treatment which is made of benzoyl peroxide but MD Complete gave instructions that if you have sensitive skin to leave it on for 15 minutes and then repeat step one which is a cleanser. After step one and two have been completed step three is last which is a citrus-c healthy complexion infused with retinol and vitamin C which is meant to correct dark marks and refines the texture of the skin. All of these products make up the perfect skincare routine.

This skin care regime also includes healthy skin probiotics which can only be found at Mdcomplete.com, these probiotics help to reduce stress which then helps to receive healthier looking skin. Stress affects the body in many places and I know for me it really affects my skin, these probiotics help to maintain the skin during stressful times. To be honest I was a little hesitant about this product but once I tried it I loved it. The taste reminded me almost of the Arnold Palmer drink and did not leave a weird aftertaste in my mouth, I was very impressed.

You can use my code http://prz.io/3DlBxmCe to receive 15% off your first purchase and free shipping for all orders over 35$ or more. If you use this code you will also be among the first to receive MD completes brand new Healthy Complexion Booster as a free gift!!

Sisters First Book Review

This past weekend I finished reading Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life by Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush. I've never done a book review before but this book was too good not to talk about and the perfect summer read so I decided to dedicate a whole post about it.

The biggest reason and mainly the only reason I decided to read this book is because of my obsession with Jenna on the today show, I just love the bubbly attitude and real personality that she brings to the morning show. Little did I know that after reading this book I would also have a strong love and admiration of her sister Barbra.

Through this book, the reader hears both perspectives of Jenna's and Barbra's about living their lives in the spotlight of first their grandfather as president and then not too long after their father's presidency. One of my favorite parts of this book was when they both talked about their summer's spent in Maine. This was fun to read about for me because my family and I just recently took a trip to Maine and went to a lookout to view walker's point which is the home the Bush family spends many if not all summers.

As the book goes on I learned many things about the Bush family that I never knew (*SPOILER COMING*) such as Laura Bush's struggle with fertility and how she and George were all set up to adopt a baby until they found out they were pregnant with the twins. Or how hard it was for Jenna and Barbra in college having secret service following them around. Throughout the entire book the sisters share their joys of growing up with their wonderful parent's and grandparents and the lessons they learned along the way.

This book left me wanting to run and hug my sister and was a nice reminder that family is everything.

My Favorite Amazon Finds

I have seen this trend of showing off your Amazon finds all over the internet lately and I love the idea of it. I am so nosey I love to see what other people buy on Amazon and it gives me so many ideas on what to buy for myself. Since I am on Amazon a lot myself I figured I would show off what I love on Amazon. As I was making this list I realized how random this list is but these are all things that I have bought on Amazon.

This list is completely random, but I love to buy electronic accessories on Amazon, Kyle and I love to buy iPhone chargers in packs of multiple because we have found that no matter where you buy them from they will break so it is better to have extras. I also am obsessed with this portable charger and it is a lifesaver and keeps a charge for so long it's amazing. Another tech accessory I love to purchase off amazon is phone cases I am currently using this pink gingham one with the pineapple popsocket

Another favorite is buying apple watch bands off of Amazon, there are so many to choose from. I really like the leather apple bands to wear to work and the pink one that came with my watch to work out with. The best part about Amazon is the low prices this watch band was only $10.

Other finds:
  • Sisters first: I am currently reading this book by Jenna Bush Hager and Barbra Pierce Bush and I can't put it down. It is so interesting to learn about their lives when they were little and get a small peek into what it is like to be the daughters of a president. It's the perfect summer read.
  • Nail dip powder: I am obsessed with doing my own a&c nails, I bought a kit and have no stopped doing my own, the kit makes it so easy and Amazon has a ton of different dip colors to choose from.
  • Pantry sign: Amazon is the perfect place to find home decor, they have an amazing selection of farmhouse decor for a kitchen, we have this sign hanging above our pantry.
