Chatty Monday (Thanksgiving recap, Blogmas)

Thanksgiving...
I hope you all have had an amazing Thanksgiving, anytime that I can spend quality time with my family is a good time. This year was really nice because my cousins from Boston came and it was super nice to see them. There are so many babies in my family so it is so fun and entertaining to see them run around my grandparent's house. If you want to see what I wore on Thanksgiving you can check out my post here. On Friday we had our second Thanksgiving at my other grandparent's house which was really nice to see them, because, we don't get to see them that much due to them living a little further away.

Blogmas...
I am so excited to tell you all that I will be doing Blogmas this year. If you don't know what blogmas is, it just pretty much means that I will be posting Christmas/holiday content every day in December all the way up to Christmas. I've been working so hard on pulling together some great gift guides, holiday outfits and so much more!

I thought I would give you guys a sneak peak of what is to come during the next month. This past week I got these stickers and I used this free printable planner sheet. I haven't filled in everyday because I wanted to keep some spots open but I think this layout is so cute.

Cyber Monday...
I have bought a bunch of amazing gifts this past weekend... I would tell you about them but the people I bought them for read my blog so it wouldn't be much of a secret anymore. There are so many deals going on right now I literally have to stop looking or I will spend every penny I have.

So I hope that everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and that you are as excited for blogmas as I am!

My Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I love Thanksgiving so much, it is definitely up there in my list of favorite holidays. I decided today I would give you a peek into what my day looks like on a typical Thanksgiving day. I have to say that the parade may be my favorite part and then, of course, you have to watch the dog show and route for the Havanese (they never win).
I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving and let me know what your favorite part of Thanksgiving is!

Thanksgiving Day Outfit

Gap: Sweater | Jcrew: Flannel | Target: Corduroy Skirt | Macy's: Black boots (similar)

I looks these photos just as the sun was setting and didn't realize the pictures would come out this dark but I think this outfit speaks for itself. This is my Thanksgiving day outfit and I can not wait to wear it. I love this flannel under this gray sweater it gives off such a festive feel. I used to wear corduroy a ton when I was little and then fell away from it as I grew. But recently I have fallen back in love with it when I found this corduroy skirt at target!
I cannot wait for thanksgiving, it is one of my favorite holiday's I love dressing up and going to the party. Watching the parade in the morning, this year mom said she would make homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning! Then the day ends with lots of Christmas shopping and excitement!

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!

A Guide to Black Friday Deals

I want to start this post off by saying that I do not agree with the stores being open on thanksgiving day. I think that it is a terrible thing that people have to take time away from their families to work retail. There is no reason that this shopping time can't start super early in the morning.

So now that I can step down from my soap box lets talk about some deals! Almost every store has deals that are going on the day after thanksgiving and there are some you do not want to miss. You can see my tips for black Friday shopping from last year here!

Macy's: The things I'm looking out for the most at Macy's is the clothes, I always like to get my family members a few clothing items for Christmas and you can't beat the deals at Macy's. Their clothes for women are 30- 50% off and 70% off jackets for men!

Target: Who can stay away from Target on a regular day let alone on black Friday? This year they have an amazing deal on technology items, especially their television deals. There is also a great deal on an apple watch for only $198 which saves you $80. You can also save $30 on a Fitbit Alta which would make an amazing Christmas gift!

Best Buy: If you're looking for a laptop or computer, best buy is having a deal on an intel computer where you can save $150. Also, save $30 on an amazon fire tablet. For all my bloggers out there you can save $250 on a cannon camera which would make any blogger the happiest on Christmas.

Kohls: They have an amazing deal for every $50 you spend you receive $15 of Kohls cash. The Lauren Conrad line has an amazing deal of some accessories for only $6.99 each. Kohls also has an amazing deal on Xbox controllers which I will be keeping my eye on for Kyle.

I hope everyone has an amazing thanksgiving and then shops till they drop!

Thanksgiving Inspiration

Thanksgiving is almost here, which means it is time to start preparing if you haven't already!
I love Thanksgiving and all of the food and decor that comes along with it. Not to mention the family time that also comes along with the holiday.
How cute are all of these items?! I am loving the flannel wine bag, this would make a great hostess gift. And how cute is the 'give thanks' banner? I think this banner is such a great reminder that while it is so easy to get caught up in the cute decorations like this sign and this wool tree, that this time of the year is really all about being thankful for everything that we have in life. I am thankful for my amazing and supportive family and friends, also for Kyle and everything he does for me. I'm thankful for my education that I am receiving and as cliche as it sounds I am super thankful for this blog and how much I enjoy creating new posts and the interactions I have with other bloggers. With everything that has been going on in the world, we especially need to take this time to be thankful for what we have. My brother and his girlfriend were in the mall this past weekend and there was an active shooter. Thankfully no one was harmed and my brother and his girlfriend made it out safe. Also my sister's school last week went into lock down due to a serious bomb threat and all the students had to be evacuated. It was a rough we last week but together we all stayed strong and got through it. Keep your loved ones close and stay safe. My mother keeps saying she hopes to have a positive story filled week this week so let's make that happen.

So thank you and have a positive story filled week!

Travel Guide | Manchester VT

This past weekend my mom, sister, brothers girlfriend and I went to Manchester, Vermont for a girls weekend. Check out this post here to find out the crazy story of the weekend. But besides all the craziness of the weekend we had an amazing time, Manchester is absolutely beautiful. We ate at an amazing restaurant and stayed at an amazing hotel. I’m already planning outperform trip for next year!

Where we stayed:  After the mishap with the first hotel we stayed at the Taconic hotel, saying this hotel is gorgeous is an understatement. It was the cleanest hotel I have ever Been too and they allow dogs, which was amazing. We meet a beautiful golden retriever named Jameson it was so much fun!

I loved the design of the room I want their decorator to come and decorate my entire house. How cute is the wallpaper in the bathroom, and that chair in the corner? I loved it all it was like a dream!
The outside was just as gorgeous:

There was an amazing fire pit outside and they gave you blue gingham blankets if you wanted to sit by the fire or out on the porch.

Where we ate:
Before we went on our trip we made reservations at the copper grouse at the Taconic hotel, little did we know that we would actually be staying the night there instead.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was spectacular. Any restaurant that has couches is a good restaurant in my book. They had an amazing bar and an impressive and much-needed wine list. We actually had brunch there as well and it was delicious and I really recommend it if you are in the manchester area.
This was my salted caramel brownie with salted caramel ice cream that I had for dessert, it was delicious!

What we did:
Manchester's has amazing designer outlets so we spent the entire day on Saturday shopping. I love shopping there because all of the stores look like houses and it is so fun to walk through the town to get from store to store.

We also had lunch at the cafe in the bookstore which is one of my favorite things to do when we go there. They have amazing coffee and soups and sandwiches. I also love that it's in a bookstore and has a super cozy feel to it.

Overall this was an amazing trip and a big thanks to my mom for everything she did this past weekend and how brave she was through the whole thing!

Manchester VT Sweater Weather (With a Crazy Story)

How cute is this sweater, I love the collar it is so different from anything I have in my closet. And lets talk about these shoes how cute?! These ones that I am wearing are from Old Navy and are all sold out but I linked three others pairs that are almost identical to the ones I am wearing.

Outfit: Gap: Sweater | Hollister: Jeans | Old Navy: Flats (Talbots: Similar, DSW: Similar
Zappos) | Kate Spade: Cedar street maise

This past weekend I took a girls trip out to Manchester Vermont for the weekend and it was definitely an adventure to say the least. Manchester Vermont is a gorgeous place and if you have never been you HAVE to go.  We had so much fun and a pretty insane story to come away from it with.
We drove up to Vermont on Saturday morning and spent the day shopping at the outlets (posts to come soon). At the end of the day around six o'clock we went to check into our hotel room, now at this time it is really dark outside and our hotel was a few miles away from Manchester center. We arrive at our inn (IN THE DARK) and there was only one car in the parking lot, which is never a good sign for any place. So we walk in to check in and the door to the lobby is locked with a sign on the door that says "Please call we are here" and a phone number was underneath. I called the number and a man answered and eventually came and unlocked the door. We told him that we had a reservation and he couldn't find our name, but I had an email confirming the reservation. This is where things start to get weird, he just hands us a key and tells us we can pay in the morning for the room and just pay whatever Expedia says the price is. The four of us drive up to the back of the inn where he told us to go and there is no one up there meanwhile, it is pitch black out in the woods and we are alone. It was terrifying, it looked like something out of a horror movie. It gets better, as soon as we walk in the room we see bugs all throughout the room. We all start pretty much freaking out and trying to figure out what to do. We eventually came to the conclusion that we could not stay there because we would be so freaked out the whole night. So I called the Taconic hotel and got us a room there, but now we had to figure out what to do about the room we were in. We had the key and the guy told us that he was leaving for the night but he would leave the door to the front desk open. So we decided to drive down and leave a note and a key on the front desk saying that one of us was sick and we could not stay. As my mom goes to walk in the door to the lobby she hears a dog growl and gets so scared she slams the door shut and plans on leaving the note in the doorway. A couple seconds later the man walks out from the back and takes the key back. Meanwhile, I am in the car trying to give the Taconic hotel my credit card number as my mom and Kaitlin come running back to the car as fast as they can. At this point, all four of us are extremely scared and freaked out.
We arrive at the Taconic hotel and it is like night and day. This hotel was amazing, everyone that worked there was so inviting and willing to help us with anything we needed. I'm going to do a whole post on this and a travel guide coming really soon. But I cannot say enough good things about this hotel it was gorgeous!
To make things even better my mother's debit card stopped working halfway through the trip and we could not get it to unlock because we were out of town and it was nighttime. Thankfully we did eventually get it to work and everything worked out well.
It was definitely a weekend to remember and we had so much fun. Make sure to keep an eye out for a travel guide post coming soon this week!

Fall/Winter Coat Wishlist

It is that time of the year again where you have to break out your coats cause the cold air is on its way. I already pulled out my light weight jackets as the fall air moves in and I am not complaining. If there is one thing I love about the colder month is the coats that come with it!

                                                                                                                     Links to Jackets

I can shamelessly say that I have a huge obsession with coats, no matter the size, shape, or color I will be in love with it especially if it is cold outside. I want to be wrapped up in the biggest/ coziest coat ever when it's freezing outside and that happens to be a lot of the time here in upstate New York.

Wishing you all warm thoughts!
