Niagara Falls trip!

Niagara Falls is a beautiful place where I have made so many memories. This is a great place for a family vacation or trip with some friends.
For three days myself and 20 other friends including my boyfriend explored some of the sites of Canada.

The first night we went out to club seven.
I wore a shear shirt with an open back and a pink bandeau with a pair of jeans and nude heals.

The second day we were out to a bar and I got an exploding rocket which was raspberry vodka and juices.

The second day the girls went wine tasting at a gorgeous vineyard.
It was a fun thing to do just the girls and the wine was delicious.
I purchased a bottle of Chardonnay musquè.

That night Kyle and I went to dinner just the two of us to the rainforest cafe.
It was delicious I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken it was so good its making me hungry for it now as I type!

To end the day and mostly the trip we went to dragonfly night club where Brody Jenner hosted a party the night before (which we almost went to but for some reason didn't go. sad face.)

Packing plan

Going on weekend getaways is one of my favorite things to do. I know it's weird but packing is one of my favorite parts.
This weekend I am taking a trip to Niagra falls Canada with my boyfriend and some friends, so I figured I would show you how/ what I am packing

On the right side I have my outfits folded all together in sets so I can just grab one and go.

On the left side I have a dress, bathing suit, and undergarments

My makeup bag and hair care products bag will go on top of everything when I close it

I put my jewelry in little pouches and stick them in the the mesch pocket to keep them save while traveling

Can't wait to tell you all about my trip!

Xoxo!

Valentines day shopping outfit!

I spent my Valentines day with some retail therapy since I can't spend Valentines day with my boyfriend till next weekend, spending all of my money seemed like the next best thing.

This outfit is so comfy but looks so cute.
My grey pea coat is pretty heavy so it was the perfect pair with my fuzzy infinity scarf.
The high healed booties were surprisingly comfortable to walk around in all day and brought the whole outfit together.

boots / coat / scarf
(this is a different scarf but I like this one
as well and will look just as cute!)

Hope you are all staying warm!

Going downtown

With the weather being so awful here in upstate new york it's sometimes hard to find anything fun to do.
I love to take strolls through my favorite town and sip on some hot coco from my favorite gelato cafe while window shopping.

We had dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant which has the best chips and salsa.

And the best hot coco to end the night off right.

My outfit: coat /JeansBoots/Bag
and my hair is just lightly curled !

Stay warm!

Valentines treats and sweets

With Valentine's day right around the corner, the feeling of love was in the air today so I got inspired to make some valentine's day sweets and treats!

1. Valentine's day scratch off!
 What you will need:
dish soap, white crayon, paint of your choice, and a paint brush
First print out a template I just made mine on word pretty easily but there are also templates you can print out on pintrest.
Second you write in the "prizes" I wrote back rub, make out, and make you dinner.
Third color each heart in with white crayon
Fourth and final is the most important step, mix the paint and dish soap together this will make it easier to scratch off.
It's the perfect thing to stick in a card as something extra.

2. Valentines day cards
I love to make my own card I feel like it means a lot more and you can be really creative and meaningful.

I loved using the conversation heart and valentine's day embellishments. The cards you can find at any craft store and you can really make them your own!
3. Homemade valentines marshmallows!

(Okay so these did not come out the way I want them too but it is the thought that counts...maybe.)
I cut marshmallows to look like hearts and wrote on them with a food coloring marker! This could work better if you had a heart cookie cutter but they are still yummy which ever way they look!

Ingredients:

3 packages unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Directions:
Combine the gelatin and 1/2 cup of cold water in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and allow to sit while you make the syrup.

Meanwhile, combine the sugar, corn syrup, salt, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Raise the heat to high and cook until the syrup reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from the heat.

With the mixer on low speed, slowly pour the sugar syrup into the dissolved gelatin. Put the mixer on high speed and whip until the mixture is very thick, about 15 minutes. Add the vanilla and mix thoroughly.

With a sieve, generously dust an 8 by 12-inch nonmetal baking dish with confectioners' sugar. Pour the marshmallow mixture into the pan, smooth the top, and dust with more confectioners' sugar. Allow to stand uncovered overnight until it dries out.

Turn the marshmallows onto a board and cut them in squares. Dust them with more confectioners' sugar.
This recipe can be found Here on food network channel

Hope this puts a little love in your day!

The winter blues

Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that occurs at a certain time of the year, usually in the winter. This is defiantly something that affects me during the winter months. Everything is so dark and cold and there’s not much to do in my town and if you do find something to do, chances are it will be canceled due to the insane amounts of snow we get.
This weather can really cause you to become sad and feel lonely much like it has to me. But you can’t let it get you down. So I thought I would come up with a couple ways to beat the winter SAD!

1. Cuddle with some hot coco and watch a nice movie.
I highly recommend the best of me it was a great movie and       love story to read!
2. Read a good book! Take this time and relax read that book you keep putting off. Sit next to a fire and have some you time.
3. Go skiing! I taught my boy friend and one of my friends to ski this winter. It’s such a fun activity to do with your friends if everyone is able!
4. Start cooking! This cold weather has caused for a lot of yummy food in my household. As I type my mother is making a ham with all the works!
5. Take a warm bubble bath. Things can get stressful around this time of year a good way unwind is to take a warm bath and listen to some soothing music!

Hope some of this helps I know it does for me!

My everyday makeup look!

BB Cream- I wrote about this in my monthly favorites but I lovee it and use it daily. It clears acne, conceals imperfections, minimizes look of pores, reduces appearance of redness, adjusts to skin tone, hydrates and smooths, enhances and clarifies skin, is oil free and feels lightweight.
Cover girl professional loose powder - This is a loose weight powder that can tend to go everywhere when you use it but it works well and looks really even. Its also easier to apply in my opinion.
Eyebrow cream/powder - I love this eyebrow kit I can't go a day without using this. Its the brand elf and for only being 3 dollars you cannot beat it.
Highlight powder - This is a bronzer highlighter duo is from the Sharon Osbourne collection from mac. I originally bought this for the bronzer and ended up not using the bronzer and falling in love with the highlighter. (Mac currently does not sell this product anymore but you can find it on eBay.)
Highlighter cream- I received this in one of my ipsy boxes and I love it I use this under my powder and it gives it an extra shine. This is the color champagne by the company doll 10
Eyelid primer- I refuse to spend a ton of money on this when the elf primer works just as good and is only 1 to 2 dollars.
Eyeshadow pallet - I did a whole blog post about this pallet which you can read here, but the three colors i use the most are kid, satin taupe, and noble spirt.
eyeliner pencil- I use this elf pencil on my top lid. I don't really like it for my waterline, but it is perfect for my top lid.
cream l'oreal eyeliner - I use cream eyeliner for my waterline it stays on all day. And a bonus is it comes with a brush which is actually one of my favorites.
Lights, camera, Lashes- This mascara is a sample size from ipsy but I love it because I put this one on first. This is a thicker mascara so I use this to spread out my lashes and coat them with mascara.
Urban decay perversion- This is also a sample from ipsy, I like the samples because I love these two mascaras together while the other mascara is thinner this one goes on thicker so I use this second to thicken them up.
Most of these items can be found at target except for a couple.
I hope you all enjoyed and found some products you may want to use in the future!

January Favorites

I can't believe the first month of 2015 is over. This year feels like it is flying by already, this month I've been loving a few things to keep me warm and stylish through the brisk winter season.
1. Infinity scarfs are my favorite thing to wear around campus with my big coat and then keep on even in class when I take my coat off. I love the infinity scarf to dress up the most casual outfit.
2.I have been obsessed with hot coco pods for my keurig they're the perfect treat to warm yourself up after being in the cold all day. This hot coco comes out so rich and creamy it is delicious!
3.Warm colored lipsticks looks good with every winter outfit I have been loving macs diva lipstick to warm up a makeup look for day or evening.
4.Oh my god even though this is number 4 it is my number one favorite of the month. This was my favorite of the month, I have never used  maybelline pure BB cream before and I don't know why I waited this long. I really recommend this product. Its half the price of foundation and one of the healthier options.
5. Maroon pants have been my favorite thing this season to dress things up for work or a night out. I personally love to pair maroon pants with a cute black shirt and my brown booties and have the perfect outfit for anything.
6.Love love love this Essie nail polish merino cool. The perfect brown with a tint of purple for the season.
what have you been loving this month?!
