As you may have seen from Monday's post, J.Crew is the only store I've really been shopping at lately (I need to branch out more). J.Crew just has the best clothing pieces for any occasion, they have dresses, tops, and bottoms for work or casual. Right now I am more casual in my style and J.Crew is where I go for all my basic needs! I talked about these boots in Mondays post, (LINK) about how they continue to be my favorite fall shoe year after year. I love that it is that time of year when you can wear long sleeves and booties but not have to wear a jacket. I am so ready for fall.

BOYFRIEND BUYS MY OUTFIT CHALLENGE!!
I am so excited to share with you guys today's post. This is a very popular challenge on youtube I first saw it on Alex Garza's youtube video you can see here. So the challenge is that your boyfriend or husband goes shopping and picks out an entire outfit for their wife or girlfriend. But I put a little more of a twist on it for Kyle and only gave him a 50$ budget that he had to stay within.
Now I am going to put even more of a challenging touch on this and make Kyle write out the post about how his experience was doing this challenge (All of his writing will be in blue). He even took the pictures, so I'm going to link the outfit details here and then he will do the rest!
Gap: off the shoulder top | Jcrew: Shorts | Earrings: Sugarfix | Shoes: Jack Rogers
Hello to all of Kelsey's lovely followers! When Kelsey told me about this challenge I was very excited to take it on. She has fantastic style and I really wanted to impress her. The first place I knew I had to go was the nearest mall because it had the J Crew Factory outlet in it. I didn't really have a clue about what I was going to get her, but I knew I either wanted a sundress outfit, a short shorts outfit, or something that uses a button down shirt because I personally really like the look. The first place I looked was J Crew, I knew that she loves basically anything in there and I knew you could find some cheap clothes there. Fortunately for me, the first thing I saw was the shelf with all the khaki short shorts things on it. They had a bunch of cool designed shorts, like pineapple green and yellow shorts, crane shorts that were light blue. These were 20 bucks though and that made me nervous. So the shorts next to them were the one color shorts, and I decided impulsively that I wanted to get the Navy blue ones because they were cute and her size. They cost about 15 bucks. I found a bunch of shirts at J Crew that appeared to match well, but they were a little out of my price range like the shirts were mostly 30 bucks and I really want to add a third piece to the outfit. I decided to go to the other end of the mall and look at Gap. I truly didn't have any luck in Gap, I couldn't find anything I liked, the button down shirts were so expensive and so was the fleecy looking shirts that I see a lot, and everything in my price range was pretty unattractive. I literally almost left when I saw in the corner of my eye a shelf of these white shirts that said 60 percent off, so I went to go check. It was like it was meant to be because there was nothing good until the absolute last shirt that was her size and appeared to be a really pretty white shirt. That turned out to be an over-the-shoulder shirt that apparently is really popular right now. The shirt happened to be 21 dollars so that left me with about 36 bucks. I decided to finish the puzzle I wanted to either get some sort of jewelry or shoes. I went to Target because she likes it there and would probably shop there for clothes, and I know she likes their jewelry. I really wanted to get those flats shoes that she wears a lot, but didn't know they cost as much as they did, Target's selection of flats were all around that 30 dollar mark. I also know she had the Jack Rodger sandals that she would probably wear anyways. I decided to pick up the earrings because they put me right at that 50 dollar maximum and I knew she liked that brand, and I thought they were extremely different looking which I enjoyed.
I really enjoyed this competition, I love Kelsey's blog and think she is doing an amazing job with it and anything I can do to help her and make her amazing followers happy I am down for! Plus I actually really liked picking outfits for her! I will say I thought it was going to be a cake walk just going around the mall trying to find the clothes, but at the end of all the shopping, I was extremely wiped out, and actually pretty frustrated with how stressful it was to find something I thought she would like. I would 100 percent do another one of these challenges for her though!! Thank you guys for listening to me ramble, and please, brainstorm some ideas down below in the comment section about some other really cool, and fun challenges Kelsey can try and do on this Blog!

Scalloped Everything
Here's to the start of the holiday weekend. I'm planning on having a very chill weekend with some family and friends because as soon as the week starts off I am going to be starting my summer job. I'm really excited but also a little nervous for this new adventure. To kick off the weekend I thought I would show off a 4th of July inspired outfit that is filled with scallops and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Jcrew: Scallop shorts (similar) | Jcrew: scalloped tank | Target: Sandals | Sugarfix by baublebar: earrings
Yesterday I went to a little place located in upstate New York called grapevine farms and we had the most delicious lunch and browsed all the little gifts throughout their huge gift shop. It was such a fun way to kick off the summer.
I wore this scalloped look which was perfect for the occasion. These scalloped shorts fit so well and are so comfortable I want them in every color possible. I also love this top because it can be worn to a night out with friends or to a lunch like it was used for yesterday. And of course, I am back with another pair of my favorite sugarfix earrings (saying i'm obsessed is an understatement).
Have a fun holiday weekend!

Casual Army Green Shorts Outfit
Outfit: Jcrew: Boardwalk pull-on shorts | Target: t-shirt | Sugarfix: earrings | Jack Rogers: Georgica Sandals | Dogeared: pearl of love necklace

The boardwalk pull-on shorts from JCrew are my go-to shorts for the summer. They are so easily dressed up and dressed down, which makes them perfect for any occasion. I actually wore this outfit to the Adirondack wine and food festival which was a lot of walking around and I was so comfortable the whole day.
This past weekend was my 22nd birthday weekend, which was so amazing. Friday was my actual birthday and my mom and I got massages in the morning and then we had a big family dinner at the most amazing Italian restaurant in my favorite little town in the Adirondacks. Then on Saturday, we spent the day at the Adirondack wine and food festival and it was so fun and so delicious. Overall it was an amazing birthday and weekend spent with family and friends.
I am so excited because I FINALLY own a pair of Jack Rogers, my sweet Kyle gave these to me as a birthday present and I couldn't be happier. These are the Georgica sandal in the color pewter. I'm trying really hard to stretch them out and I think I'm finally getting there. Big thanks to www.topknotsandsweatpants.com for the tip of soaking them in water while wearing them, I am going to try that out soon!

Dupes of All Kinds
I think that one of the best feelings in the world is finding the perfect dupe for an expensive item that you really want. I have found that Target has some of the best dupes for shoes, like these ones that look like Jack Rogers or these that are the perfect dupe for the Valentino 'Rockstud' sandals. I have a pair of the Target sandals, you can see them from Monday's post here. They are really comfortable and super affordable. I am also loving these earrings from Charming Charlies that look identical to the Crispin drops from Baublebar. There are so many dupes out there for different items but these are just a few of my favorites.

Off The Shoulder Dress at The Lake
Outfit: Dress: Target | Shoes: Target | Hat: Target | Sunglasses: (similar), (really cheap version) | Necklace: Dogearred | Earrings: Sugarfix by baublebar (target)
A little shout out to my dad, who I'm pretty sure I could not survive life without him. Thanks, dad for taking my endless amount of phone calls asking stupid questions, for fixing something as soon as it needs to be done, and for just being there when I need ya. You are the hardest worker I know and the most caring and giving person I know. Thanks for everything, my dad, my co-captain, my best friend.
This entire outfit is almost all from Target, I must say they are killing the game this year with their summer line. I ran in the other day for a fathers day bag and came out with this bathing suit AND this one. I mean Target gets me every time I go in but they're making it harder to resist going on a shopping spree these days.
Am I the last person to find out that baublebar did a collab called sugarfix for target?!?! I am OBSESSED with all of the earrings and statement necklaces that they have there. These caught my eye right away and I knew I had to pick them up before they were gone.
Yesterday we spent the day on the boat for fathers day which was so nice and relaxing. We were a little nervous that the Thunder was going to start but thankfully it stayed away long enough for us to have a full day of fishing and searching for the eagle's nest.
P.S This dress wrinkles super easy.

Five Favorite Things Currently
I know that this outfit is going to be my go-to summer outfit this year. It is so cute and casual and the boardwalk shorts from JCrew are so comfortable and so cute.
My Lilly wine glasses are my favorite to drink out of in the summer time (and any other time).
My aloe plant. I love this aloe plant so much and it is getting so big that I may have to repot it.
I am obsessed with this new song called sway by Danielle Bradberry.
Tassel earrings, I posted these on Wednesday with my blue ruffled top. These earrings really made the whole outfit tie together.

My Birthday Wishlist
Later on, this month will be my 22nd birthday and I am so excited. My mom and I are going to the spa in the morning to get massages and then we are heading up to the lake that afternoon. I am planning on more of a laid back day than last year for my 21st but I'm still thrilled about whatever happens. I wanted to share a couple of things that are on my wishlist for this year.
These are a few items that I have had my eye on for awhile but haven't brought myself to splurge and buy them. Jack Rodgers have always been something that I have had my eye on but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money on them. I already have awful feet to begin with so I get nervous about buying shoes online. Well, yesterday I finally found a store that was close to me that sells them so I went in and tried them on. Then the WORST scenario ever happened...I couldn't get the Jack sandal on. So I am going to take a chance on the Georgica sandal and hopefully they will fit okay. It was a very sad moment for me.
On a happier note, I am really loving all of these other picks as well. I recently posted a current obsession all about statement earrings and how much I am loving them, and these statement earrings from baublebar that I have picked out are nothing short than amazing. I am loving the pom pom earrings and they are on sale (HINT HINT FAMILY).
