Current Beauty Favorites

Today I am sharing a few of the beauty products that I have been currently loving this summer!

Sephora Face Mask: I have talked about how sensitive my fave is on here so much (you're probably over it I'm sorry) but for all my sensitive skin gals out there these face masks are gold. These are one of the few face masks that don't irritate my skin and I love them. They are so effortless and leave my face feeling so soft and clean.

Voluminous Mascara: This is hands down my favorite drugstore mascara ever. It reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I would say it's a pretty good dupe. I also love the hydrofuge mascara, their waterproof version which was perfect for summer.

Kokie Concealer: I received this concealer in one of my Ipsy bags a few months ago and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. This concealer is light and lasts all day long without getting greasy. I love finding new companies and brands within my Ipsy products.

St. Tropez Lotion: So I was paying for a spray tan membership for about half of the summer and then one day I couldn't make it there in time for an event so I just did it myself. Comparing the two, the spray tan with the self-tanner, I liked the end result of the self-tanner a lot better than the spray tan. So I canceled my membership and bought more St. Tropez.

Tarte Blush: This is another Ipsy item that I fell in love with which is weird because I'm really not a blush person. This blush is really warm so it has a tint of bronze which may be why I like it. Shoutout to Ipsy for another great product! Would you guys like to see an Ipsy review and my thoughts of the subscription???

Jade Roller Review (HONEST!!)

Okay so I have gone back and forth about writing this post for some time now but I figured I would go ahead and do it anyways. By now you have probably heard about the beauty trend that has taken over the beauty world. The jade roller is a mineral stone that you roll along your face to de-puff your under eyes.

Now before I go into this any further I do want to point out that my face is EXTREMELY sensitive and almost everything irritates my face. So with that being said the jade roller did irritate my face.

I have been wanting one of these for a very long time and I finally got my hands on one a couple months ago. I used it for a couple of days before I went to sleep, it stays pretty cold and feels so amazing on your face. After about a week of using the roller, I woke up one morning with a line of what looked to be blemishes all along my face. I will insert a picture, it was pretty bad on the left side of my face and only a few dots on the right side of my face. These bumps didn’t hurt and they weren’t really raised but they didn’t look great and they were starting to concern me. I had a pretty bad cold at the time so I went over to the doctor just to have them check it out. Now, this was just my primary doctor and not my dermatologist, but the doctor said that what could have happened was that I had a preexisting blemish on my face and when I rolled the jade roller along my face I could have spread it throughout my face. They put me on an antibiotic and it cleared up within a few days.

So this honestly could have happened due to a combination of different things put together such as bacteria on my face and my sickness at the time. I haven’t tried it again since but part of me wants to see if this was just a coincidence or it will reoccur.

So if you haven’t used a jade roller but want to, I didn’t write this post to discourage anyone from using one of these rollers because honestly, my skin is so weird this is probably just a me thing. But my advice going forward,
  • If you have blemishes on your face I would be so careful running the roller over them or not running the roller over them at all.
  • Make sure to clean the roller off every time before and after use.
  • Do not share the roller.
  • Clean your face before using the roller.

I hope this helps someone and like I said before I really loved using the jade roller before I got the infection and I want to give in another try I just want to get my skin under control first!

Neutrogena's New Hydro Boost Line!

Today I worked with Neutrogena to bring you this post. I have always loved Neutrogena but I think I truly fell in love with the company when my dermatologist told me that I really shouldn't use any other products on my skin besides Neutrogena. Today I am talking about some products from their new line called hydro boost. This line could not have come at a better time because I feel as though my skin is dry and rough feeling. This new line is all about hydrating the skin and keeping it looking refreshed and beautiful.

Being in the sun and at the lake is my favorite part of summer but not my skins, that’s why the Hydro Boost water gel lotion SPF 50 is a life saver. This sunscreen is not greasy and has a water-light feel. I talk all the time on my blog about how sensitive my skin is and this sunscreen did not irritate my skin at all.
The next product that I received was the Hydro Boost Water Gel, which quenches and keeps skin looking hydrated all day long. I really enjoyed using this product after cleansing my face with the Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Lotion. The two products combined have now been incorporated perfectly into my nightly routine. A few days before using these products I had a patch of dry skin on my cheek which has completely gone away after using the Hydro Boost products.

I also received the Hydro Boost Plumping Mascara which hydrates the lashes and helps brittle lashes become healthier again. This summer I have been using a lot of water proof mascara which destroys my eyelashes. This mascara helps to heal the damage from the water proof mascara.
The entire Hydro Boost line is award-winning and essential to your daily routine! The entire line helps to rejuvenate and hydrate your skin leaving it looking healthy and glowing. This may be Neutrogena's best line yet!

Thanks to Brandbacker and Neutrogena for making this post happen!

Summer Skin Care with MD Complete!

If you are a long time reader of my blog then you know that acne is something that I have struggled with for awhile and there are many products that I can't use because my skin is so sensitive. With that being said I have found this line by MD Complete by Dr. Brian Zelickson which is a three-step treatment to help with acne. MD Complete values an overall beautiful and healthy complexion to be left behind after using their products.

After using these products I noticed an immediate difference in my skin. As I said before my skin is very sensitive to certain products and benzoyl peroxide being one. Step two of this process is an acne breakout treatment which is made of benzoyl peroxide but MD Complete gave instructions that if you have sensitive skin to leave it on for 15 minutes and then repeat step one which is a cleanser. After step one and two have been completed step three is last which is a citrus-c healthy complexion infused with retinol and vitamin C which is meant to correct dark marks and refines the texture of the skin. All of these products make up the perfect skincare routine.

This skin care regime also includes healthy skin probiotics which can only be found at Mdcomplete.com, these probiotics help to reduce stress which then helps to receive healthier looking skin. Stress affects the body in many places and I know for me it really affects my skin, these probiotics help to maintain the skin during stressful times. To be honest I was a little hesitant about this product but once I tried it I loved it. The taste reminded me almost of the Arnold Palmer drink and did not leave a weird aftertaste in my mouth, I was very impressed.

You can use my code http://prz.io/3DlBxmCe to receive 15% off your first purchase and free shipping for all orders over 35$ or more. If you use this code you will also be among the first to receive MD completes brand new Healthy Complexion Booster as a free gift!!

Neutrogena Skin Care!

I partnered with Neutrogena to talk about their new products Gel Cleanser and Acne Proofing face wash. Acne and bad skin is something that I have always struggled with throughout my life. There has always been one company that has worked well for me and that my dermatologists have always recommended and that's Neutrogena. Not only have I struggled with acne but my skin is also very sensitive to certain products but Neutrogena products always work the best for me. Neutrogena's new product called Acne Proofing is my new favorite face cleanser. With the salicylic acid as such a powerful ingredient in the face, cleanser helps to break the cycle of acne.

I use both products twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I have honestly seen a difference in my skin since I started using this product. My little sister is in her early teenage years and I can tell she's been stealing some of my face wash because her face looks amazing. One of the best parts about Neutrogena is that their products are so inexpensive making it even easier to get clean and beautiful skin.
