Ruffle Dress

The ruffle trend on dresses is big this year and I am completely on board with it. This Ruffle dress from JCrew is going to be my staple for the summer. I love a dress that fits well and can be worn to so many different events and places.

Jcrew: Ruffle dress | Jack Rogers: sandals  | Kate Spade: (SIMILAR) | Raybans: Clubmaster

I actually just wore this dress to my preschool's graduation ceremony and then immediately jumped in the car for a four-hour road trip to Maine (You can read all about our trip in this post here). It was a long day and I was comfortable in this dress the entire time.

The ties on the sleeves are adjustable when I first tried this on the sleeves were a little tight but after I readjusted them they were perfect. This dress also comes in a variety of other patterns and colors which are also so cute! Being under 40$ it is the perfect summer dress. At the preschool graduation, one of the mom's commented on this dress saying how summery it looked.

yellow Striped T-Shirt Dress

Old Navy: Dress | Target: Grey sneakers | Jack Rogers: Sandals | Gap: Jean Jacket | Amazon: leather watch band | Kendra Scott: Necklace

My go-to outfits these days are definitely t-shirt dresses, they are so easy and can be worn in so many different ways. I love to throw a jean jacket over them on the cooler spring days with a pair of sneakers, or a pair of Jacks on summer days. I love this particular t-shirt dress because I love the pop of blue at the top, I love blue and yellow together.
Old Navy is my favorite place to find these dresses and they are at such an affordable price. This one is on sale for only 18$ right now! If you are on a budget like me, Old Navy is a great place to get good deals on cute items.

Outfits Throughout the Week

This past week I took photos of my outfits every day to show you guys what I wear on a regular week in my life. Right now I am running back and forth between school and work and home so right now my style is mainly casual and comfortable but still looking professional and cute. Which can be pretty hard sometimes so I thought these would be good ideas.

Monday was super warm here this past week and I had to go to work after class was over so I like to wear an outfit to school that works well with work so I don't have to change later on in the day.

Old Navy: Off the shoulder top (similar) | Old Navy: White jeans | Target: gladiator sandals | Kendra Scott: Necklace

This is typically what a Tuesday outfit looks, Tuesdays I work at the preschool so leggings are my go to. I like to be comfortable to run after the kids and be able to not worry about my jeans getting paint or juice on them.
Gap: Sweater (similar) | Old Navy: Leggings | Target: slip-on sneakers | Charming Charlies: Necklace

Wednesday's are my longest day of the week but on this particular Wednesday, I had to present my study that I am working on to a couple of classes so I wanted to look more presentable then casual. I love taking a simple outfit and adding a necklace and a vest to dress it up.

Old Navy: Long sleeve tee | Jcrew factory: quilted puffer vest | Nordstrom: jeans | Jcrew: booties | Charming Charlies: necklace

This is the outfit I wore on Thursday, which isn't a typical preschool outfit but I had to present my study later on that day so I dressed up more than I usually would.

L.L Bean: Freeport Jacket | Lauren Conrad: Similar | Nordstrom: Jeans | Target: Nude Flats

Friday was a rough day I had aerobic class so I wore a workout outfit and had a very hectic morning and ran out of the house as fast as I could but I'll still link the outfit!

Fleece: Patagonia | Aerie: Chill leggings | Marshals: workout top (similar) | Nike: sneakers

Navy Everything

This is the definition of the perfect chunky fall sweater and it is Navy which makes it even better. I know some people don't like navy tops with dark jeans but I am a true lover of the two colors together.

Outfit: Cold shoulder sweater: Rosegal (similar) | Jeans: Nordstrom (similar) | booties: old (similar) Necklace: Charming Charlies | Earrings: Kendra Scott
I have a severe obsession with navy clothing, my entire closet is almost filled with navy clothing items. I recently saw this blog post about a closet tag where you go through your closet and show things like your favorite items and what you can't let go of. I think I'm going to do it this winter!

Okay tangent over, back to this navy outfit, I am really into the cold shoulder trend right now I think it is such a good look for anyone and in like so many styles. This rosegal sweater is unfortunately sold out but there are others like this!

I am also loving these Kendra Scott earrings, they're on the smaller size which I like because they aren't over the top but are still petite and beautiful.

Sweater Weather!

Outfit: Rosegal: Sweater | Nordstrom: Jeans (similar) | Gap: Shoes (similar) |  Kendra Scott: bracelet
| Target: Sunglasses (similar)

I am so ready for fall weather so I can wear sweaters all the time.  This entire past week and week coming up has been hotter in New York than it has all summer. But this sweater from Rosegal is giving me all of the fall vibes and I am loving it. This sweater is one size and it comes in five other colors. Rosegal has a ton of black oversized sweaters. They also have a ton of other cute sweaters like these cold shoulder sweaters and such cute booties!

This upcoming week is going to be so long and I'm already looking forward to the weekend. Happy Monday!

Corduroy Skirt

Skirts are not something that I wear often because I tend to find it hard to find tops to pair them with but I am determined to become an expert in this because I really love the look of skirts. I love this outfit as a transition outfit because these days in New York in the morning it is like 50 degrees and by noon it is 80 degrees. It would be so easy to just throw on a cardigan to warm up this outfit.

I am drinking a pumpkin spice latte from Dunkin Donuts and it is going to be my obsession this fall. I also love their cold apple cider, it tastes different than original apple cider it tastes more like apple pie but it is so delicious.

Rocksbox Review

I love subscription boxes and I love to learn about new ones. I am so excited about the one I am talking about today. It is such a different concept than anything that I have heard about. It is a subscription to jewelry that you rent and there are so many good brands like Kendra Scott and Kate Spade that you can receive.

For 21$ a month you receive 3 pieces of jewelry that were handpicked for you. The best part I personally think is that you can keep these pieces for as long as you would like. As long as you are paying the 21$ a month you can keep them for as long as you want or send them back as soon as you want. You could send them back as many times as possible and keep getting more jewelry.

I received the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace, the Kendra Scott Elle earrings, and the Gorjana tanner bar necklace. I am so obsessed with all of these pieces. So I made up a wishlist and the Elle earrings were one of the items I picked so the website "granted my wish" because I received an item off of my wishlist. I really love the concept of this subscription box and I was not disappointed with the items I received.

This post is not sponsored.

Adding to My Scalloped Obsession

Scalloped tank: Jcrew | Navy Shorts: Old Navy | Necklace: Kendra Scott (Rocksbox) | Earrings: Kendra Scott (Rocksbox) Sandals: Jack Rogers
I am living in these scalloped tanks from Jcrew this summer. They are literally the perfect top because they are so light and comfortable. It is also a plus that they come in so many different colors. I love this bubble gum pink to brighten up the outfit and take me away from my usual navy and gray that I love so much.

I am so excited to talk about my jewelry in today's post. This jewelry is actually rented from a company called rocks box. Rocks Box is a monthly subscription box that comes with three pieces of jewelry that you can keep for as long as you want. I plan on coming out with a post that talks more about the box because I love it so much!
